PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high performance OFDM signal equalizing apparatus which is highly resistant to a receiving failure due to a long delay path and high-speed fading. SOLUTION: The apparatus has: a first delay profile estimator estimated from a pilot symbol extracted from N (N is integer of 1 or more) OFDM symbols; a second delay profile estimator estimated from a pilot symbol extracted from M (M is integer of 2 or more) of OFDM symbols so as to make estimatable delay time area width larger than delay time area width of the first delay profile estimator; an equalization operating part for equalizing an OFDM symbol signal on the basis of an estimated delay profile; a delay profile selecting part for selecting either one of the first delay profile estimator or of the second delay profile estimator and supplying the selected one to the equalization operating part; and a selection commanding part for comparing a power value of a path signal within a discrimination area with a threshold power value with an area obtained by excluding the delay time domain of the first delay profile estimator from the delay time domain of the second delay profile estimator as the discrimination area and supplying a selection command.
