PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for measuring particles, using a flow cell for utilizing a light collection angle of a light collection means to a maximum and detecting more scattered light. SOLUTION: In the apparatus for measuring particles, a particle-detecting region M is formed, by irradiating the flow cell 1 with a light La, the light collection means 21 collects the scattering light Ls, emitted from particles included in a sample fluid passing through the particle detecting region M, and information on the particle diameter is acquired. The flow cell 1 is provided with a first flow path 2 for forming the particle-detecting region M on a central axis and a second flow path 3, orthogonal to the first flow path 2 and branching a flow in two directions. The center axis of the first flow path 2 coincides with the optical axis of the light collection means 21, and inner walls 3c, 3d of the second flow path 3, having a normal perpendicular to the optical axis, are formed so as to prevent the scattered light Ls, entering the outermost edge of the light collection means 21, from being blocked and have an interval larger than the inner walls 2c, 2d of the first flow path 2 parallel to the inner walls 3c, 3d of the second flow path 3.
