FIELD: refrigerated processing of food products using carbon dioxide. ^ SUBSTANCE: apparatus has throttle washer with T-shaped passageway and device for feeding of snow-like CO2 into carcass. Snow-like carbon dioxide feeding device is connected through pipe to liquid carbon dioxide feeding pipeline and comprises plates adapted to be automatically opened for further insertion into carcass. Valve is mounted on pipeline and is adapted to be opened simultaneously with opening of plates. ^ EFFECT: increased amount of snow-like carbon dioxide upon throttling and reduced coolant losses due to effective distribution coolant within interior of bird's carcass. ^ 2 dwg
