<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To synthesize a ground tint print according to the content of a ground tint setting file from the host PC side on the printer side when a PDL including information of a ground tint image having a latent image issued from a host PC is inserted into a printer, and to shorten synthetic processing time than in an operation for directly editing image data by changing the ground tint setting file from the host PC side without editing image data when the ground tint print is synthesized on the printer side. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus receives data about an image to be printed out and data about a ground tint image having a latent image and a background image to be added to the image, also generates the data having the latent image and the background image and is characterized by providing a synthetic processing means of the ground tint corresponding to setting information about the ground tint image received by the image forming apparatus and a means for setting information about an object to be synthesized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
