<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel feeder of a variable displacement high-pressure fuel pump capable of controlling a discharge flow even when the reciprocating cycle of a plunger is short without enhancing the responsiveness of an actuator as a variable displacement mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: This controller of the fuel feeder comprises a single plunger fuel pump having a variable displacement mechanism and pressurizing and feeding a fuel into a fuel injection valve, and regulates a fuel feed pressure by controlling the variable displacement mechanism. The controller controls the variable capacity mechanism to hold in the state of a first discharge stroke between a previous discharge stroke to a following discharge stroke through a suction stroke. Consequently, the variable displacement mechanism is driven once each time the plunger of the high-pressure fuel pump reciprocates at least two or more times. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
