<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a color filter which is excellent in productivity and by which a color filter having no white void and having excellent display quality can be manufactured, to provide a color filter obtained by the manufacturing method, and to provide a display apparatus and a liquid crystal display apparatus using the color filter. <P>SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing the color filter where ink is dropped to form a pixel pattern by hitting the ink by an inkjet method on a substrate equipped with a partition wall pattern, a relation: 0.006C<SP>2</SP>≥A≥(-1.7×10<SP>-6</SP>C+2.4×10<SP>-3</SP>)B<SP>2</SP>+(5.6×10<SP>-8</SP>C<SP>3</SP>+1.3×10<SP>-6</SP>C<SP>2</SP>+1.0×10<SP>-3</SP>C-0.2223)B is satisfied, wherein A (pl) is an ink drop quantity, B(°) is a contact angle between the substrate and the ink, and C(μm) is the width of a pixel in a lateral direction.
