PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marking device with a degassing function which allows its arrangement at such an appropriate position as to exert the degassing function reliably even in a molding having a complicated shape and can be easily attached to a mold. SOLUTION: The marking device is to be engaged in an engagement hole in the wall surface of a cavity formed in a mold and consists of a cylindrical outer shell and an index object to be inserted into the outer shell. A gas inlet is formed in the upper surface of the device, and a gas discharge outlet is formed in the lower surface.
