PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately switch a predetermined member to a predetermined control position without hitting a flag member against a stopper. SOLUTION: The printer 1 includes the flag member 42 of a shape with a part of a nearly disk-shaped member projected or notched in a radial direction, and a sensor 47 which detects the projected part 44 or the notched part. A nonvolatile memory 56 stores a final detecting position flag 60 that shows a detecting position of the flag member 42. A controlling means 62 starts controlling of a driving motor 41 regarding that the flag member 42 is at the detecting position in the center of three detection positions when the sensor 47 detects the projected part 44 or notched part of the flag member 42. Also, the controlling means 62 starts controlling of the driving motor 41 regarding that the flag member 42 is at the detecting position shown by the final detection position flag 60 when the sensor 47 does not detect the projected part 44 or notched part of the flag member 42.
