PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fulfill the need in the field for an improved method for prevention and therapy of leukemia and cancer and to provide other related advantages. SOLUTION: A polypeptide containing a native WT1 immunogenicity moiety or a variant thereof different in one or more substitutions, deletions, additions and/or insertions, the polypeptide not suffering from a substantial loss of reactivity of the variant with a WT1-specific antiserum and/or a T cell strain or clone caused by such alteration and containing 16 or less continuing amino acid residues present in the native WT1 polypeptide.
