摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lessen influence of electric noise in the periphery, to prevent deterioration of accuracy and operational failure due to heat generated from a motor part, and to reduce the number of wirings such as cables. SOLUTION: An optical encoder supplies power to project light to a rotary slit disk from a light projecting part such as a light emitting diode, and the light passed through the rotary slit disk is guided to a control device by an optical fiber for receiving light. The control device is provided with a photoelectric converting part for converting an optical signal transmitted through an optical fiber cable to an electric signal to control the drive of a motor. A power supply to the light projecting part of the optical encoder is sent from the control device to an articulated robot by a pair of common power supply lines, and connected in parallel to a plurality of optical encoders in a robot machine.
