PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an absorbent article reducing waste of a material by a simple manufacturing process. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method of the absorbent article having wing parts 3 extending from the both sides of a body 2 includes steps of: supplying top sheets 4; supplying absorbent bodies 6 at a prescribed interval; and joining and cutting them along the external shape of the article with the absorbent body 6 clamped between the top sheet 4 and a back sheet 6. The back sheet 5 is formed by alternately disposing a narrow-width first back sheet piece 5a and a wide-width second back sheet piece 5b, and the wing parts 3 are positioned and formed in the width-directional both sides of the second back sheet piece 5b.
