PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seedling planting tool and a seedling planting method, solving such problems that, in general, planting of sweet potatoes seedlings is conducted by handwork, there are many elderly farmers in ordinary agricultural areas which are small in scale, and it is difficult to purchase expensive farming machines/implements for exclusive use; besides, when unskilled farmers plant seedlings, the rooting rate of the seedlings may fall, and although affusion is made before or after planting seedlings in the dry season, it is difficult to ensure whether affusion water has fully and uniformly reached the surroundings of the seedlings and the forefront soil. SOLUTION: Even an unskilled farmer can constantly bore seedling planting holes at a predetermined angle and a depth using a boring part and a stabilizing plate worked so as to facilitate boring such holes, and by making a necessary level of affusion on the soil in the vicinity of bored holes via multiple water-discharging holes furnished on the flank of the boring part and inserting seedlings into the holes followed by earthing up, thus planting the seedlings of e.g. sweet potatoes stably and efficiently.
