The manipulator has a coupling hook (26) supporting a sufficient distance for a contact area of a motor vehicle i.e. passenger car, by tilting in such a manner that the coupling hook swivels rearward in a lowest position and afterwards guides for locking upwardly in a retainer and in a usage position (I). The coupling hook is arranged rotatably on a coupling carrier, where the feeding of the coupling hook into the retainer is facilitated analogous to a manual process. The coupling hook has a link guide that is arranged lateral to the retainer.
