<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt retractor having a reversible type belt tensioner capable of being driven by a motor in which a current may be added in one direction only. <P>SOLUTION: The belt retractor for the safety belt device has a belt spool rotatably mounted into a frame 12 so as to receive a belt web 13; the reversible type belt tensioner having the motor for driving a wheel gear; and a connection mechanism used for connecting the wheel gear to the belt spool. The connection mechanism has a connection disc 34; and a turnable brake element 50 applying braking to the connection disc 34 when the wheel gear is rotated in a first direction and rotating when it is rotated in an opposite second direction in such a form that the connection disc 34 is not influenced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
