<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently specify a position for carrying out a process in a manufacturing facility. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention discloses a system and a method for selecting the position for carrying out the process. The system receives a tool data for specifying a tool, including a position of the tool in the manufacturing facility, and a process data for specifying the process for assembling at least one part of an automobile (90, 92). The system judges automatically the propriety of satisfying a process definition with the selected tool data (96). The system outputs display of the position of the tool along the first axis (98), outputs display of the process along the second axis (100), outputs display indicating that the tool satisfies the process as to the first axis and the second axis, when the tool data satisfy the process definition, and a user can thereby select the position for carrying out the process. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
