<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which loads allotted to respective power sources for various power sources to be used are further divided into a number of groups and the respective power sources are turned ON/Off. <P>SOLUTION: The power source 5V controls 5V-1, 5V-2, 5V-3, 5V-4, 5V-5, 5V-6 and 5V-7 in the image forming apparatus. The switching of allotment of loads for respective power sources is carried out, respective loads are controlled in the respective power sources, the power sources corresponding to respective loads are independently turned ON/OFF. On recovering from a sleeping state by a printing request from a printer, only 5V-1, 12V-1 and 24V-1 are energized by the 5V power source, only the power sources for 5V-1, 12V-1 and 24V-1 are energized and the other power sources are not energized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
