<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a painting device, determining a coordinate pair of painting start point and painting end point without depending on the arrangement direction of coordinate points constituting a contour to paint it out. <P>SOLUTION: The painting device for painting out the inside of a contour by use of the contour comprises a means for approximating a curved section of the contour to a linear section based on contour data corresponding to print information to covert it to a set of start point coordinates and end point coordinates of each segment; a means for rearranging the start point coordinate and end point coordinate of each segment unit so that the Y-coordinate of the end point is larger than the Y-coordinate of the start point; a means for forming, based on the start point coordinate and end point coordinate of each segment from the rearrangement means, an OR image obtained by imaging the contour as bit map and an exclusive OR image obtained by imaging a pair of painting points as bit map; and a means for performing painting by use of the OR image and the exclusive OR image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
