摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved adjustment mechanism which efficiently adjusts the angles of a plurality of optical devices, and also to provide a projector. SOLUTION: An angle adjustment mechanism 800 has: a base frame body 810; an optical device housing frame body (a first frame body 820 in which an incident side polarizing plate 442 is housed and a second frame body 830 in which a retardation plate 444 is housed); pivotally supporting parts 811, 823 and 833; and an adjustment part (a screw 840, a base receiving part 815, a first receiving part 827 and a second receiving part 837 functioning as receiving parts). The pivotally supporting parts 811, 823 and 833 have one turning axis K positioned on a nearly vertical plane passing through an illuminating optical axis L, and pivotally support the first frame body 820 and the second frame body 830 relative to the base frame body 810 with the turning axis K as a center. The base receiving part and the receiving parts are provided in the positions where they face each other. By the mutual adjusting operation between the base receiving part and the receiving parts which face each other, the optical device housing frame body turns relative to the base frame body 810 with the turning axis K as a center.
