PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air heating device free from accumulation of condensed water inside of the device. SOLUTION: A fin tube 8 of a heat exchanger 1 is connected to a steam supply pipe 2 through a control valve 3 and a switch valve 4. A compressed air supply pipe 5 is also connected to the switch valve 4. An outlet header 6 is disposed at an outlet side of the heat exchanger 1 to mount a pressure detecting member 13. A steam trap 9 and a vacuum suction means 16 are mounted at a lower portion of the outlet header 6 through a three-way switch valve 15. When a pressure in the fin tube 8 is lowered and the condensed water is accumulated, it is detected as the lowering of pressure by the pressure detecting member 13, the switch valve 4 is switched to stop the supply of steam, and the compressed air of high pressure is supplied into the fin tube 8, thus the accumulated condensed water in the fin tube 8 is discharged from the steam trap 9 to the external.
