PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold-release agent for a mold, having excellent diffusivity, adhesive properties and paintable properties. SOLUTION: The branched organic modified silicone oil is represented by general formula (1) (wherein, R<SP>1</SP>s are each an independent 1-3C short-chain alkyl group; R<SP>2</SP>s are each an independent linear, branched or cyclic 1-18C alkyl group; R<SP>3</SP>s are each an independent 7-12C aralkyl group; X is a 6-18C linear or branched divalent hydrocarbon group, a 6-18C divalent cyclic hydrocarbon group or a siloxane having alkylenes at both terminals; a, b, c and d are each an integer of 0-100 satisfying the relation of 10≤a+b+c+d≤400; and 0.01≤e≤1). The method for producing the modified silicone oil is also provided. The oil-in-water type silicone emulsion mold-release agent for the mold contains the modified silicone oil.
