PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the practicality of a suspension system equipped with an electromagnetic actuator by handling against the heating of an electric motor. SOLUTION: This suspension system for vehicle is constituted in such a manner that a control can be executed for avoiding a state that the motion of the electric motor stops at the same operating position while the electric motor which is the power source for the electromagnetic actuator generates the motor force. More specifically, when a rotating position to be a target for the motor becomes a specified operating position (e.g., the rotating position at which the power feeding amount to one phase becomes a peak), a control is executed for shifting rotating position byδθfor the target. When the rotating position of the motor stays at the same position for a set period of time or longer, a control is executed for changing the rotating position of the motor. In this manner, a burden to the motor can be reduced by suppressing variations in the heating of the motor, and the suspension system of a high practicality is built up. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
