PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fold-back method of the sheath fastening nail of a compound container which can easily, securely and swiftly fold back the fastening nail 26 of the sheath 20 fastening a container main body 10, and a fold-back apparatus of the sheath fastening nail. SOLUTION: The fold-back method and the fold-back apparatus of the sheath fastening nail of the compound container mutually fastening the container main body and the sheath by folding back the fastening nail 26 of the sheath 20 inside, inserting the container main body 10 into the sheath and engaging the top step of a fastening protrusion 14 formed on the peripheral face of the container main body with the fastening nail of the sheathing body comprises using a die configured by an inside die 46 telescopically fitted in the outside die 45, bending the fastening nail of the sheathing nail inside by a lower die and subsequently folding back the fastening nail by the upper die.
