PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermittent conveying and production system, which is a foot-operated intermittent feeding mechanism having advantages of both a cell production method and a belt conveyer method by a production system for transferring a tray to the next work process. SOLUTION: On a flexible conveyer 2, a plurality of processes P is constructed in series with a buffer process Pb interposed between them. The respective processes P and the buffer process Pb are provided with a tray 3 for placing parts supplied to the respective processes. This intermittent conveying and production system 1 includes the foot-operated intermittent feeding mechanism 4 for transferring these processes P and the buffer process Pb as a set to the next process at the same time.
