<p>A distortion compensating circuit capable of ensuring a distortion compensating performance even if the transmission power varies, while suppressing the increase in hardware of the distortion compensating circuit. In this circuit, an amplifier (310) has a nonlinear amplification characteristic. An inverse characteristic calculating part (330) compares a transport signal, which is an input signal to a distortion compensating part (370) with an output signal of the amplifier (310) to calculate an inverse characteristic of the amplifier (310). If the transmission power value of the transport signal exceeds a predetermined threshold value, a control part (340) writes data indicative of the inverse characteristic calculated by the inverse characteristic calculating part (330) into a storing part (360) to update a distortion compensating condition of the distortion compensating part (370). Otherwise, the control part (340) stops updating the distortion compensating condition of the distortion compensating part (370).</p> |
