<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical axis adjusting method for laser beam by which positions of a plurality of light spots on an optical disk can be matched more accurately with each other. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of laser beams are projected to an optical disk DK0 for adjusting optical axis provided with an isolation track region I<SB>t</SB>and an isolation pit region I<SB>p</SB>. Since a tracking error signal caused when the light spot crosses the isolation track region I<SB>t</SB>can be distinguished from other tracking signals, a signal waveform of the tracking error signal caused by a plurality of light spots can be comprehended clearly. Therefore, diameter direction position deviation of the light spot is adjusted based on the tracking error signal waveform. Also, since a reproduced signal caused when the light spot crosses the isolation pit region I<SB>p</SB>can be distinguished from other reproduced signals, a signal waveform of the reproduced signal caused by a plurality of light spots can be comprehended clearly.
