PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic bearing arrangement integral with a motor where the long-term durability of a rolling bearing is enhanced for the thrust load and ample motor cooling effect is attained. SOLUTION: The magnetic bearing arrangement integrated with a motor uses rolling bearings 15, 16 and a magnetic bearing in combination, wherein the rolling bearings 15, 16 support a radial load and the magnetic bearing supports either or both of the axial load and the bearing preload. An electromagnet 17 constituting the magnetic bearing is fixed to a spindle housing 14, such that the electromagnet 17 opposes thrust plates 13a and 13b in a non-contact manner. The motor rotor 28a of an axial gap motor 28 is constituted of the thrust plates 13a, 13b and a plurality of permanent magnets 28aa, arranged in the circumferential direction at a constant pitch. A motor stator 28b has a motor coil 28ba and a cooling liquid circulation passage for circulating cooling liquid through the motor stator 28b is provided in the motor stator 28b, such that the cooling liquid touches the windings of the motor stator 28ba.
