PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating operation unit capable of restoring design displayed on a set knob to an erect position without changing an operation state of an electronic apparatus even when the set knob is rotated, in relation to a rotating operation unit constituting an input operation part of various kinds of electronic apparatuses. SOLUTION: This rotating operation unit is structured such that an engagement hole 2D formed at the lower surface center of a flange part 2A of an operation shaft 2 is engaged with a rotary shaft 1A of an incremental encoder 1 to corotationally combine them with each other; its upper end 2B is projected from a central hole 4A at the center of a ceiling part in a lower opening 4C of a cover 4 attached to the upper surface of the encoder 1 to vertically movably hold the operation shaft 2; the set knob 54 is attached to the upper end 2B of the projected operation shaft 2; and a coil spring 3 is housed in a compressed state between the upper surface of the flange part 2A and the ceiling surface of the lower opening 4C. The rotating operation of the set knob 54 is allowed by terminating the engagement between the operation shaft 2 and the rotary shaft 1A by pulling the set knob 54. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
