PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accomplish a certain stair-lifting vehicle by adding a safety device in order to safely and smoothly raise a person and a baggage upstairs and lowers them downstairs, aiming at simple and rigid structure, in the stair-lifting vehicle continuously and smoothly lifting up/down any stairs without requiring switching operation such as midway clutch operation and various controls and automatically maintaining horizontal of a chair and a load-carrying platform not relying upon motive power. SOLUTION: The vehicle lifting up/down the stairs is provided with a gear mechanism of the stair-lifting vehicle not requiring the switching operation and various controls; an automatic horizontal level maintenance mechanism of the chair and the load-carrying platform not relying upon the motive power; and the wheel and the safety device applied to articles other than the stair-lifting vehicle.
