PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feeding system and a feeding method for a railroad vehicle capable of performing the track sharing of existing vehicles in a special section without impairing flexibility while avoiding the use of any complicated switching facility. SOLUTION: In the feeding system of the railroad vehicle in which two kinds of electric cars having different nominal voltages are capable of performing mutual entry in a special section 3 having a common track, an electric car line 6 for a special section in the special section 3 is insulated via electric car lines 4, 5 of the two kinds of electric cars and a no-voltage section. A serving end voltage of a substation 9 for supplying power to the electric car line 6 for a special section is selected so as to be in a range of a voltage in which fluctuation ranges of two kinds of nominal voltages overlap each other.
