An input device for a car having a function of text recognition and voice conversion is provided to reduce inconvenience in inputting text in a car and to reduce danger of a traffic accident in accordance with checking the inputted text by outputting voice matched with the written text and enabling a driver to check the written text without distributing attention while driving the car. An input device for a car comprises a text inputting unit(110), a text recognizing unit(120), a voice converting unit(140), a voice outputting unit(150), a controller(130) and a communication interface unit(160). The text inputting unit(110) receives text written by a driver. The text recognizing unit(120) recognizes the written text and converts the written text into electronic text. The voice converting unit(140) converts the electronic text into voice. The voice outputting unit(150) outputs the conversion result of the voice converting unit(140). The controller(130) controls operations of the voice converting unit(140) and the voice outputting unit(150) and controls a function of an electronic device connected to the input device for the car on the basis of the recognized electronic data. The communication interface unit(160) receives text data from an external terminal.
