<p>The system has a primary non-volatile memory to store an initial program code for starting the computer system. A system monitoring module monitors the computer system for occurrence of a predetermined condition. The monitoring module has a non-volatile memory for storing a new program code for starting the computer system. The monitoring module copies the new program code into the primary non-volatile memory in the event that the predetermined condition occurs, such that the new program code replaces the initial program code and is available for subsequent starting of the computer system. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for updating program code for starting a computer system (2) a computer program for a computer system for updating the program code for starting the computer system.</p> |
