A system transmitting a file, a method thereof, and a recording medium recording the same are provided to transmit a large capacity file at a rapid speed by using personal grid transmission under one to many multiple transmission environment. A system transmitting a file comprises a server(10) and clients(30). The server(10) organizes the clients(30), receiving the file, via a chain structure, and transmits divided pieces of the file to the clients(30) within the chain structure. Each client(30) transmits its own file pieces to receipt target clients which do not own the file pieces. The server(10) includes an authentication unit, a file management unit and a chain management unit. The authentication unit authenticates the plural clients(30). The file management unit divides the file into plural pieces and transmits each file piece to each authenticated client(30). The chain management unit organizes a chain of clients, and manages the file piece information and the clients(30). |
