MICROSATELLITE DNA PRIMER RELATED TO ECONOMIC TRAITS IN HANWOO

An HWYU2TA-165 primer is provided to analyze the existence of a DNA marker which is shown in a 156bp allele, thereby being effective for determining an excellent individual of Korean native cattle, selecting an excellent breeding stock and choosing raising management of a high quality meat group. A primer set for detecting a microsatellite DNA related to Korean native cattle includes sequences of SEQ ID : NOs. 1 to 2. A method for selecting the Korean native cattle comprises the steps of: (a) subjecting chromosome of the Korean native cattle to a polymerase chain reaction(PCR) using the primer set; and (b) selecting the Korean native cattle having a DNA marker having a size of 156bp amplified by the PCR. A method for analyzing quality of the Korean native cattle comprises the steps of: (a) subjecting chromosome of the Korean native cattle to a PCR using the primer set; (b) analyzing a size of a DNA marker analyzed by the PCR; (c) analyzing economic traits of the Korean native cattle having the DNA marker of the analyzed size; and (d) analyzing economic traits specific to the size of the DNA marker from the results of the steps(b) and (c).
