A pneumatic conveyor 1 for receiving bulk material of the civil engineering or rail construction sectors, comprises an enclosure 2 with at least two enclosure chambers 3,4, wherein a first enclosure chamber 3 comprises a suction pipe connection 5, wherein a second enclosure chamber 4 is pneumatically connected to the first enclosure chamber 3 and comprises a suction blower 6 and a suction air outlet 7, and wherein the suction pipe connection 5 is arranged above a bulk material collecting section 16 of the enclosure, and comprising a suction pipe 8 connected to the suction pipe connection 5. It is characterized in that the first enclosure chamber 3 is cylindrical with a cylinder axis A being substantially vertical in the operating position, that the suction pipe connection 5 comprises a central axis M which extends in parallel to a tangent of a cylinder cover surface of the first enclosure chamber 3, and that the first enclosure chamber 3 is pneumatically connected above the bulk material collecting section to the second enclosure chamber 4. The unit may be mounted on a vehicle by means of a supporting arm. |
