COMPOSITIONS FOR PREVENTING AND TREATING ALLERGY COMPRISING PHELLINUS BAUMII

A composition comprising an extract of Phellinus baumii is provided to show excellent prophylactic and therapeutic effect on systemic allergic reaction and topical skin allergic reaction with safety to human body without toxicity. A composition for treating allergy comprises 1-50 wt.% of a dried material of a Phellinus baumii extract and 50-99 wt.% of a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier such as an excipient, a binder, a lubricant, a disintegrating agent, a coating agent, an emulsifying agent, a solvent, a stability, an absorption supplement, an injection water, and an isotonic agent, wherein the dried material is obtained by mixing 5-50 wt.% of pulverized Phellinus baumii with 50-95 wt.% of purified water, extracting the Phellinus baumii at a temperature of 70-100 deg.C at 3 times for 2-4 hours per one time, filtering the Phellinus baumii and then freeze-drying the filtrate.
