The vehicle has a bench seat (1) with a base (2) and a backrest (3). The lateral elements (7a, 7b) are mounted in rotation on the base along axles parallel to a longitudinal axis of vehicle. The elements are movable between raised and flat positions in which the elements are perpendicular to and laterally extending the base, respectively. A movement transmission device permits the movement of the elements in a reversible manner between the raised and flat positions and inverse, during the movement of the seat toward respective backward and forward positions.
