The invention relates to an eye surgical illumination unit, comprising a light source for visual inspection of eye tissue to be treated, a connector for light guides for guiding light exiting from the light source to the eye tissue, and optical elements for defining a light path along which light exiting from the light source can travel to the connector, and a housing in which the light source and the optical elements are accommodated. Further, the illumination unit is arranged for an improved tuning of light operatively traveling along the light path, to a light guide connectible to the connector. |
