A brake pedal stop switch and a method for assembling the same are provided to improve working efficiency and to reduce assembly time by turning a dial gauge with hands and inserting a stop switch in a brake pedal. A brake pedal stop switch(40) comprises a switch body unit(100), a dial gauge(200), a switch bracket(400), and a torsion spring(300). A cross section of the switch body unit is shaped as polygon or oval. A thread is partially formed on the switch body unit. The dial gauge has a thread groove engaged with the thread, and a rim supporting the thread groove. The switch bracket is assembled with the dial gauge to help rotation of the dial gauge. The switch bracket has a through hole where the switch body unit is penetrated and reciprocated. The torsion spring is located between the dial gauge and the switch bracket and offers elasticity to return the dial gauge to original location. The pitch of the thread is less than 0.5~1mm. The switch bracket has a plate(410), a bracket extension unit(420), and a curling unit(430). The bracket extension unit is cylindrically extended to allow the dial gauge to be inserted at a center part of the plate. The curling unit is curled from an end of the bracket extension unit to the center of the plate. |
