White, one-sided matt, sealable, biaxially oriented polyester film

Polyester film (I) with a white base layer (B), sealing layer(s) (A) and a matt outer layer (C), in which (A) layer (B) contains 3-15 wt.% white pigment (WP) (B) layer (C) contains 1-15 wt.% WP (C) layer (C) contains particles other than WP with an average particle diameter (d50) of 2-10 microns (D) layers (A) and (C) are based on a polyester containing 4-30 mol% isophthalic acid units . An independent claim is included for a method for the production of (I) in which one outer layer (A) contains less than 0.01 wt.% particles by making multilayer film comprising layer (B) plus outer layers (A) and (C), by coextrusion followed by biaxial stretching and heat-fixing.
