An apparatus and a method for reducing HTTP request messages in a communication system are provided to reduce waste of a network resource caused by the same information and to reduce the transmission number of the HTTP request messages. An apparatus for reducing HTTP request messages comprises a client(200) and a proxy(210). The client(200) searches HTTP request messages whose specific header information are different but whose remaining header information are the same, and integrates the plural HTTP request messages into one message for eliminating overlapped header information. The proxy(210) receives the integrated HTTP request message from the client(200), restores the integrated message to original messages and transmits the restored HTTP request messages to a server.
