PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance efficiency of data processing, to shorten a communication time, to reduce a communication cost, and to efficiently guide a route. SOLUTION: This communication type navigation system for transmitting and receiving a data between a route information providing device and a route guiding device by communication to guide the route to a prescribed destination is provided with an unpassed route information preparing means for preparing route information about a route section judged as an unpassed section in the past by the route guiding device out of routes upto the prescribed destination as unpassed route information partitioned into segment units in respective preset reference points on the route, and a transceiving means for transmitting and receiving the unpassed route information of the segment unit between the route information providing device and the route guiding device. |
