A torsion damper (1) comprises a drive side transmission element (2.1) and an output side transmission element (2.2) connected to it via a spring (9.1-9.5, 10.1-10.5). At least one of the springs surrounds a stiffening element (14), which has a holding unit (15). The latter limits the movement of the stiffening element with respect to the spring.
