An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to minimize the number of components, reduce manufacturing cost, and simplify a manufacturing process by using a container which consists of a mounting part to mount a liquid crystal panel and a bottom plate to convey light to the liquid crystal panel. An LCD(100) includes a liquid crystal panel(113) and a container(200). The container delivers light, emitted from a light source(120), to the liquid crystal panel. The container, made of a permeable material, comprises a mounting part(220), a bottom plate(210), and sidewalls(240a-240d). The mounting part to install and settle the liquid crystal panel is formed at the edge of the container. Also the mounting part is installed on the bottom plate. The sidewalls, extended upwards from the mounting part, enclose the mounting part. In addition, the LCD comprises a black or gray resin layer which is formed between the mounting part and the liquid crystal panel.
