An organic electroluminescent device for lighting and a lighting apparatus using the same are provided to emit light with uniform color and luminance through a wide area by using the organic electroluminescent device with a small light emitting area. An organic electroluminescent device(100) for lighting includes a substrate(110), an anode electrode(120), an organic light emitting layer(130), and a cathode electrode(140). The anode electrode is made of a first light reflection material on the substrate. The organic light emitting layer is formed on the anode electrode and performs light emitting operation. The cathode electrode is made of a second light reflection material on the organic light emitting layer. The light emitted from the organic light emitting layer is emitted to a lateral surface of the organic electroluminescent device.
