A low arm having a shock absorbing function is provided to reduce shock and vibration applied to the low arm effectively by installing a multi-step spring elastically extended along the width direction of a vehicle. A low arm having a shock absorbing function comprises a first low arm(10) whose one end is connected to a vehicle frame, a second low arm(12) whose one end is elastically inserted into the other end of the first low arm, and a multi-step spring(13). The multi-step spring has one end supported by the other end of the low arm to insert the other end which is connected to a knuckle of a wheel into the second low arm. The multi-step spring has three springs with different diameter, frequency of winding, and length. A stopper(12a) is projected toward the front end of the second low arm. A guide groove(10a) in which the stopper is engaged is formed at the second low arm shaped like a pipe. The first low arm is shaped like a bar. |
