A method for washing laundry is provided to prevent a detergent loss and to prevent environment pollution by providing information about the detergent according to different hardness of water. A method for washing laundry comprises the steps; measuring hardness of water; determining information about a detergent which is to be injected by using hardness of water and weigh of laundry(S4); and displaying information of the detergent determined according to the hardness of water and weigh of laundry(S5). The washing machine has a cabinet, an outer tub, an inner tub, and a sensor measuring hardness of water. |
