A brake pedal for a vehicle is provided to automatically fold a lower part of a brake pedal when predetermined amount of force is transmitted and to re-brake the vehicle after collision. A brake pedal for a vehicle comprises a pedal bracket(20), a pedal arm(30), a pedal pad(40), and a trigger(50). The panel bracket helps a booster to transmit power to a master cylinder. The pedal arm which is transmitting power to the booster has an upper arm(31), a lower arm(32). The upper arm is engaged to the pedal arm and assembled to the booster by a clevis pin(5). The lower arm is engaged with the upper arm by a link, and being folded when a predetermined amount of force is exerted. The pedal pad is engaged to the lower arm to press the pedal arm. The trigger is installed at a contact between the upper arm and the lower arm, and folds the lower arm when predetermined amount of force is transmitted to the pedal arm. |
