A portable music player is provided to allow users to play music as scratching the music player through a touch unit and a scratch unit. A portable music player comprises a plate-type touch unit(10) and a scratch unit. The touch unit, formed as a part of the portable music player, senses the moving direction and speed of hands or objects in contact with the surface, and generates electric signal. The scratch unit receives the signal from the touch unit and analyzes the motion of hands or object and then changes the music data or recording location according to the motion. The touch unit has a touch-screen to display a rotating disk.
