A method for forming and checking authenticity of a collective digital signature for electronic document authentication relates to electric engineering and computer engineering, in particular to cryptographic methods for authentication of cryptographic electronic messages being transmitted through telecommunication network and computer network, and may be used in transmitting electronic messages (documents) authenticated with a collective digital signature (CDS) presented as many-digit binary number (MBN).
