The invention relates to the process for preparation of scintillation solvent – isopropyl naphthalene, which comprises the interaction between naphthalene and isopropyl alcohol in equimolar ratio in the medium of kerocene in the presence of non-aqueous АlСl, which portions are introduced in the reaction at the room temperature during 2-2,5 hours, and then reacting mass is heated in the boiling water bath for, at least, 4 hours. The formed complex of isopropyl naphthalene and АlСlis dissociated with water, filtrated; the filtrate is cutted, at the temparature of 140-150 °С/5 mm m. c. the technical product is isolated, washed with concentrated HSO, water, treated with АlОand distillated under vacuum. |
